Applying Caladryl can help dry the oozing and weeping of poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac. It also helps temporarily relieve the pain and itching associate with these rashes.

How long can I safely use Caladryl?

Stop use and ask a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days. Also consult a physician if the condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days.

Can I use Caladryl on my infant?

Caladryl is recommended for adults and children 2 years of age and older. Consult a physician to discuss use on children under 2 years of age.

How often should I apply Caladryl?

Apply to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily.

What is the difference between Caladryl and Caladryl Clear?

While the original Caladryl Lotion has a light pink color, Caladryl Clear is colorless. Both formulations contain ingredients to reduce itch and calm the skin but they have different active ingredients. Caladryl lotion contains Calamine 8% (skin protectant) and Pramoxine HCl 1% (Topical Analgesic) while Caladryl Clear contains Zinc Acetate 0.1% and Pramoxine HCI 1% (Topical Analgesic).

We are going on several summer trips. Is it safe to leave Caladryl in the car?

It is recommended that Caladryl be stored at 20º to 25ºC (68° to 77°F). Conditions in a warm vehicle may exceed the recommended storage temperature.
